Sand Creek Golf Course opens Wednesday

It is time to break out your golf clubs. Sand Creek Golf Course opens Wednesday.

“Not only are we opening the driving range at Sand Creek, but we are also opening the short course and all 18 holes,” said Tim Reinke, Pinecrest Golf Course Manager of Golf Operations and PGA Professional.

Thanks to recent warmer temperatures, the driving range at Sage Lakes Golf Course opened Tuesday.

If the warmer temperatures continue, the Department of Parks and Recreation will look to open Sage Lakes and Pinecrest Golf Courses within the next days.

“This is the earliest we have ever opened the Sand Creek Golf Course in our history,” said Greg A. Weitzel, Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Idaho Falls. “All three courses have weathered the winter very well.”
