Local middle school robotics team wins award at state competition

Irving Middle School’s robotics team won an award in the State Robotics competition held at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls.

The team scored 125 points in the robot game challenge and were one of only a few teams to take home the Teamwork Award.

This award recognizes a team that is able to accomplish more together than they could as individuals through shared goals, strong communication, effective problem solving and excellent time management.

“This team worked well under pressure,” said the judges. “Fearsome to the competition, these “(plant) growing” cubs showed us all what teamwork is really about.”
