Rigby’s Jessika Jenson takes 5th, gearing-up for another shot at a medal

Rigby native Jessika Jenson made her debut at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics starting strong in the women’s snowboard slopestyle finals, despite harsh snow conditions.

Starting in first place with a score of 72.26, she stayed in the top three until the second round where she was bumped into 5th place.

Jamie Anderson of California ended-up taking home the gold medal, but Jenson has one more shot at winning a medal in the big air event starting Monday.

This is Jenson’s second time competing in Winter Olympics.
