Family Crisis Center thrift store reopens

A thrift store for a good cause is up and running again. The Family Crisis Center Second Helpings thrift store had its grand re-opening today.

The store was getting so many donations, they didn’t have enough room to put everything on display. So after two months of renovations, they are open again.

“It’s been pretty busy, it is so nice to see all of their hard work and see the finished product. People have been calling for the past two months wondering when we’re going to be open again. We actually have a lot of regular customers, whether that be families on a budget or the ‘thrifters’ that like going to get that good treasure. So a lot of people have been missing this and they’re happy to have it back,” says Julie Leavitt, Public Awareness Coordinator for the Family Crisis Center.

They say all of the money made at the thrift store goes back to helping victims. The hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For sales and store information, go to their Facebook page here.
