No one hurt in Idaho Falls fire

UPDATE: 6:45 p.m.

The Idaho Falls Fire Department says that the fire broke out inside the kitchen of a main floor apartment within a five-apartment complex.

Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained, however this is smoke damage throughout the complex.

Three adults were inside the apartment cooking, when the fire started.

Two left the building immediately, one called 9-1-1.

Firefighters helped the remaining adult male out of the building.

There were no injuries and no one was sent to the hospital.

ORIGINAL: 2:50 p.m.

Several Idaho Falls fire engines and ambulances were called to a fire at 610 Vassar Way at approximately 2:50 p.m. Tuesday.The fire department took no risk that the apartment kitchen fire might spread. Smoke filled the house. One person was evacuated but was not seriously hurt.
