Southside revitalization public survey underway

Idaho Falls is looking for public input into the revitalization of properties on the south side of the downtown area.

The area involved is south of Broadway, east of the Snake River, west of Yellowstone Highway and north of Pancheri Drive. It is in the vicinity of the Idaho Falls Library, Idaho Falls Power, and the Art Museum. The area includes a number of large and small-scale established businesses, two parks, and the River Walk along the Snake River’s western boundary.

An open house is scheduled Tuesday, February 27 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Idaho Falls Library at 457 West Broadway.

It is being conducted in conjunction with Idaho Smart Growth and the Greater Idaho Falls Association of Realtors.

In addition to the open house, there will be displays at various “listening stations” in the area including the Idaho Falls Library, the Art Museum at 300 S,. Capital Avenue, and the Idaho State Building at 150 Shoup Avenue through March 2.
