Investigation of a slide-off led Fremont County deputies to a large marijuana bust Wednesday.
The Sheriff’s Office said a deputy was called to a slide off at milepost 356 on U.S. Highway 20 at 8:20 a.m. During his investigation, a deputy noticed the strong odor of marijuana.
Because the driver was suspended and providing false information when he was arrested, the car was towed and a search warrant issued for the vehicle.
The search produced 84.4 grams of methamphetamine and 10.23 pounds of marijuana.
Investigation of the incident is continuing.
