New exhibit opening at Museum of Idaho

The Museum of Idaho has a new exhibit opening this week.

“Law of the Land” tells the stories of people who shaped the state into what it is today. Historic people like Richard Zimmerman known as ‘Dugout Dick,’ Minniee Hitt and the Keefers. The museum staff says it’s important to tell these stories

“That is one of the things about these people is that they are independent-minded and they helped to shape this western ideal and so we’re really excited to be able to present artifacts from them that speak to these wonderful ideals,” says Carrie Anderson Athay.

The exhibit opens this Friday at 6:30 p.m. The museum will be hosting a special event to celebrate. You can buy tickets on here.
