UPDATE: Fall River Electric crews restored service to the remaining homes affected by the outage. Power was restored sometime around 11:00 pm on Thursday. They are not showing any active outages on their website.

A vehicle crashing into a power pole by the South Fork Substation and Idaho Pacific Corporation just outside of Ririe has knocked out electricity in portions of Jefferson County and southern Madison County.
About 300 customers are without power.

Fall River Rural Electric Cooperative said two power poles are damaged, and its members can expect outages of up to six hours.

Repair crews have been dispatched, and officials say they do not know what kind of vehicle hit the poles.

The town of Ririe was not affected.
