Montana men arrested after I-15 drug bust

Two Montana men were arrested shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday after Idaho State Police discovered methamphetamine in their car.

The driver, identified as Joseph Willoughby, 54, and the passenger John R. Veum, 54, both of Billings, Montana were booked into the Bannock County Jail.ISP said a trooper pulled over a 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero traveling northbound on Interstate 15 near mile marker 73, north of Pocatello, for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, the trooper became suspicious, leading to a probable-cause search of the vehicle. Troopers found five pounds of methamphetamine in the car.
