Very Windy!!!

A cold front is marching across the Gem State today, with the biggest impact being the wind. The winds will peak in the late morning to early afternoon, where gusts between 50-70 mph are likely across the Plain. Blowing dust and power outages are possible given the high winds. Showers of rain/snow across the region are also likely, and a convergence zone is also possible in the late afternoon/evening in the upper Snake River Plain which could cause more rain/snow showers. Much calmer weather for tomorrow after which we’ll see warmer yet showery weather for the remainder of the week.

Today: Windy! Sustained winds between 20-40 with gusts into the 50s and 60s is possible. Temps with afternoon will be a bit colder than the morning, given the cold air moving in behind the cold front.

Tonight: Chilly with lows in the low to mid 20’s with a chance of rain/snow showers.

Tomorrow: Partly cloudy with mid 40’s for highs.

Wednesday: Chance of rain with highs in the mid 50’s.
