4th flight pushes Pocatello airport boardings

Pocatello Regional Airport reports a big jump in first quarter passenger traffic. Airport staff credits the improvement to the addition of a fourth daily flight from SkyWest Airlines, operating as the Delta Connection to Salt Lake City.

For the first three months of 2018, 21,329 passengers took to the air, ahead of the record-breaking pace the airport set last year. Year-to-date passenger numbers are up 22 percent.

“The fourth flight opens up more options for travelers,” said David Allen, Pocatello Regional Airport Manager. “There are more seats – and more discounted seats – per day and reduced layover times in Salt Lake City.”

The fourth flight began March 2 and connects passengers to more than 30 domestic cities on the 5 p.m. bank of departures from Salt Lake City.
