Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Idaho is closing

Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeast Idaho announced Wednesday they will be closing their doors after 20 years.

The closure comes as a result of lack of funds. In a statement issued by the non-profit, they have not received state or federal funding and most of their income is raised through local events.

They have credited their staff and Board of Directors and thanked the community for their support. The organization also wanted to recognize their volunteers for providing the children with an experience they’ll never forget.

They will be closing their doors on April 20th.
