Technical Careers High School students receive donation

Ten students will be competing in the state Skills Competition for technical students. This was made possible thanks to the East Idaho Credit Union. Not only will students be able to compete. They also donated equipment.

The programming teacher and students are excited about this chance to compete.

“It was a life saver, especially considering it was at the last minute that they even found out about it,” says Matt Russell, teacher.

“This was really a saving moment for us because not all of us were able to pay for skills, it was a large fee plus food and plus getting there so it was a very big thing that East Idaho did for us,” says Spencer Thurman, student.

The competition starts tomorrow and they say they want to make it to nationals.
