Idaho Falls Zoo opens for 2018 season

Despite the rainy day, the Idaho Falls Zoo opened for the new season.

The rain did not keep patrons away. The zoo says they had a steady stream of guests all day. There are many exciting things to see at the zoo including the lion cubs born last year. There is also a new baby gibbon monkey who is a little sister to Sid. You can now see sid and his little sister on exhibit.

“New for this year we have our gibbon babies on exhibit,” said Darrell Markum, general curator for the Idaho Falls Zoo. “Those of you that followed us on Facebook last year might remember Saturdays’ with sid. And sid is now actually on exhibit where you can see him today.”

The zoo is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm
