Pocatello man pulls knife on strangers

One Pocatello man is behind bars for threatening two people with a knife late Wednesday night.

At around 9:30 P.M. officers responded to the 300 block of Washington for a report of a physical disturbance.

Pocatello police say Forrest Von John, 39, approached two missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and started acting aggressively.

He then pulled-out a knife and held it within inches of the victims’ faces. After putting the knife away, police said he grabbed one of the victims by the neck.

Both of the victims were able to wrestle John to the ground and hold him down until officers arrived.
