Very Windy with Rain/Show Showers
A vigorous storm system is moving in today. Expect moderate rain showers the valleys and snow showers for high country. As strong cold front pushes through Eastern Idaho by the late morning and mid-day hours, temperatures will drop into the evening giving rise to the potential for snowfall down to the valley floor. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the southern Snake River Plain due to the formation of a convergence zone this evening. Also, a High Wind Warning has been issued for the lower Snake River Plain with wind gusts at 45-60 mph.
Today: Rain and snow likely with the possibility of a t-storm. High’s into the mid 40’s. Chance of precipitation is 70% and very windy.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with rain/snow showers. Lows into the low 30’s to upper 20’s. North wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Friday: A chance of snow showers early, then clearing. A high into the upper 40’s.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a highs into the mid 50’s.
