More High Winds for Tuesday, Wind Advisory Issued

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM TO 9 PM MDT TUESDAY…

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 8 AM to 9 PM MDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS/TIMING…Strong winds will develop during the daylight
hours Tuesday. The strongest winds may occur during the morning
hours. Drivers of high profile vehicles are urged to be extra
cautious while traveling through the region.

* WINDS…Strong winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts near 50 mph are
expected. During the morning, slightly stronger speeds are
possible, with gusts around 55 mph possible in some locations.

* LOCATIONS…Areas impacted will include Interstate 15 from
Pocatello to Blackfoot, all of Interstate 86, and Interstate 84
from the Utah border to Burley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A wind advisory means that winds of 30 mph are expected. Gusts
over 45 mph are possible. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.
