Road closed near Rexburg for truck accident

UPDATE: The highway has now been reopened.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Madison Fire Department and the Idaho Transportation Department have closed a section of Highway 33 west of Rexburg. The closure is in effect from 2000 West to 3000 West at mile post 77.

A semi-truck carrying fertilizer tipped over and blocked both lanes. No one was injured and cleanup is underway.
