Police seek driver who caused interstate crash

Idaho State Police are looking for the driver of a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta that caused a crash on Interstate 15 early Saturday.

According to ISP, the Jetta driver was going the wrong way in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 at milepost 119 in Idaho Falls at around 2 a.m.

The Jetta drove head-on into a 2015 Ram pickup hauling a loaded flatbed trailer driven by Charles D. Sinclair.

The crash forced the trailer and its contents to flip over onto the roadway.

The driver of the car ran away.

Sinclair was not seriously hurt.

The northbound lanes and one southbound lane of the interstate were blocked for about 2 hours and 45 minutes.

All lanes are now open.
