LDS Church President wraps up 11 day world tour
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints president, Russell M. Nelson is back in Utah after a whirlwind global ministry tour that took him to eight countries in 11 days.
The tour began in London where President Nelson had a message he echoed throughout the trip.
“The Lord’s way is the way of peace, ” President Nelson said. ” Jesus said, ‘Love one another as I have loved you,’ and so we’re bringing the love of the Lord to the people.”
Next it was on to Israel where President Nelson spoke along with Apostle Jeffrey R. Holland at the BYU Jerusalem Center.
After that President Nelson shared his message with Mormons in Kenya and Zimbabwe.
“Our message to the world is that Jesus is the Christ and that His way of life is the way of joy,” President Nelson told the African members.
The tour then continued to India where President Nelson toured a possible site for a new temple.
Thailand was the next stop on the world tour and the Asian leg then ended in Hong Kong.
In Hawaii Sunday he told the audience, “We don’t allow jet lag.” In fact, his wife, Wendy said the tour seemed to energize her husband .
