Portneuf Medical Center announces leadership changes

Portneuf Medical Center has promoted four individuals into new leadership roles at the center.

The medical facility has promoted Angela Treasure, RN to Chief Nursing Officer, Dan Snell to Chief Medical Officer, Joseph Higgns to Vice President of Informatics and Analytics, and Donna Bergman, to Chief Improvement Officer.

According to a press release, Treasure has been with Portneuf Medical Center for 23 years working in the pediatrics, NICU and ED units as well as case management.

Snell will serve as the main link between administration and medical staff.

He holds a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Utah and has been part of the Portneuf staff for more than 10 years.

Dan will spend 80 percent of his time as CMO while still continuing his practice as an anesthesiologist the other 20 percent.

Higgins will take over everything related to IT.

Joe is originally from POcatello and has spent the last several years helping LHP and Ardent facilities implement IT strategies.

Bergman is transitioning from her role as VP of Employed Physician Services.

She will be overseeing education, training and implementation of Portneuf’s Continuous Improvement system.

Donna’s goal is to home-grow hundreds of trained management experts in the organization.

According to the press release given to Local News 8 at KIDK Eyewitness News 3, the center believes the leadership changes will help Portneuf continue the mission of world class care to every patient, every time as they work together to reach their vision of being the best community hospital in America.
