Idaho Falls celebrates Earth Day

It’s never too late to celebrate Earth Day. Idaho Falls hosted its own Earth Day event at Tautphaus Park today.

There were several activities for kids to learn about the environment and have some fun outdoors. Inside, they had arts and crafts and other fun activities. Many families enjoyed the outdoors, food, live music and the zoo as well. Organizers of the event say it’s important to each kids about the environment.

“We want the next generation to be aware of the things to pay attention to,” said Flint Hall, one of the Earth Day organizers. “There’s so many whims that go back and forth that we want to, we want to make sure that children realize you have to be aware of what you do and your impact. For everything that we do that’s good, there’s an impact, there’s a cost to that. And sometimes the costs are worth it and sometimes the costs are not.”
