Teen gives life to save girlfriend
A teenager is being remembered as a hero for saving his girlfriend’s life.
17-year-old Marcos Gil of Arimo died on Saturday after getting his girlfriend out of the Portneuf River at Lava Hot Springs. Unfortunately, the current was so strong that he wasn’t able to save himself and drowned.
His family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses. As of Monday morning (4/30/18) it has raised more than $1,600.
