3 in custody after Idaho Falls pursuit

Idaho State Police have taken three persons into custody following a high-speed pursuit in Idaho Falls.

Lt. Chris Weadick says an ISP trooper was attempting to pull over a 2017 Honda Civic in the vicinity of Rollandet and Sunnyside at around 1:45 p.m.

The driver began to drive away at a high rate of speed. Idaho Falls Police estimate the car’s speeds at up to 80 miles per hour.

The ISP trooper discontinued the pursuit as the car turned into a subdivision. Several homeowners reported seeing the suspects running away in the 3200 block of Nina.

All three suspects were apprehended and are currently being booked at the Bonneville County Jail.
