ITD looking for public opinion

The Idaho Transportation Department is asking for your help. They’re having an open house at Temple View Elementary tonight at 5:00 p.m. to discuss what to do about the I-15 and US 20 connectors.

ITD is trying to figure out how to make those roadways safer by getting rid of the traffic congestion. On top of the traffic, the roadway was built in the 1950s and 60s making it outdated.

The areas they’re focusing on are exits 118 and 119 on I-15 and exits 307 through 310 on US 20.

As of now, they’re just asking for public opinion.

“There’s just this two-mile stretch that is severely congested and with the six interchanges it’s very tight so we’re looking at just getting public comment on about issues you have seen. Get you guys’ idea on how to fix it,” says Megan Stark, Public Information Specialist for ITD.

The meeting is going on now, but it’s not too late. You can add your input by going to ITD’s website.
