Jordan announces gubernatorial “running-mate”

Although it is not an official ballot alternative, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Paulette Jordan announced Friday she will make Kristin Collum her running mate. Collum is a democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor.

Jordan said the Jordan-Collum campaign will become the first all-female gubernatorial ticket in Idaho history.

Jordan and Collum said they are aligning their visions for the future of Idaho and will campaign together.

“We are two progressive women who are very independent and strong-minded,” said Jordan. “Running with Kristin Collum is an important moment in our campaign and in history. Moving forward united in our innovative vision, we believe together we can truly represent the voices of the people and bring about the change needed for Idahoans.”

Collum is a military veteran who served under Colin Powell at the Pentagon in Washington D.C.

Jordan is a State Representative from the Coeur d’Alene area.
