Noon sirens return to Sugar City
A not-so-familiar blast from the past will return to Sugar City Friday.
The city will reinstate a noon siren test.
The siren is located atop Sugar City hall on Center Street.
At one time, the city fired the siren on a regular basis, but it has not been used for many years.
In addition to alerting the community to lunchtime, the siren will now be used at other times of the day to alert Sugar City in the event of any sort of emergency.
