Mudslide forces closure of US 189
UPDATE 12:54 p.m.: The Wyoming Department of Transportation reports US 189 from Daniel Junction to Jackson is open to all traffic in both directions.
UPDATE 11:41 a.m.: The Wyoming Department of Transportation estimates a mudslide closure of U.S. 189 should be cleared sometime between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday.
ORIGINAL STORY:
A mudslide has forced the closure of US 189 between Bondurant and Hoback Junction, Wyoming.
The Wyoming Department of Transportation says a loader and a couple of trucks have been dispatched to the Hoback Canyon at around milepost 150 to begin clearing the road.
The estimated open time is unknown at this time.
