Ohlson to face double murder trial in Blackfoot

Erik Ohlson, 40, was formally arraigned in Driggs Thursday afternoon for the murder of Jennifer Nalley and her unborn child in July 2016.

According to court documents, Ohlson appeared before 7th District Judge Bruce Pickett for arraignment on two charges of first degree murder and a variety of lesser charges, including burglary, two counts of use of a deadly weapon in commission of a felony, and excessive DUI.

Teton County Prosecutor Billie Siddoway also renewed her notice of intent to seek the death penalty in the case.

The court determined earlier that Ohlson could not find a fair and impartial jury in Teton County. As a result, the trial was moved to Bingham County.

Ohlson is scheduled to begin a jury trial in a Bingham County Courtroom on June 3, 2019.
