Blackfoot schools shelter in place lifted

The Blackfoot Police Department received third-party information about threats made to a Blackfoot school around 10:20 a.m. and placed all schools on a “shelter in place” status as no specific school or individuals were named.

The shelter in place was lifted at 10:59 a.m.

Shelter in place is not a lockdown. Doors are locked, classroom doors are shut and locked and students proceed as usual in the classroom.

Officers are actively investigating the threat.
