Man died in crash on I-15

Idaho State Police reports a 61-year-old Blackfoot man was ejected from his vehicle and succumbed to his injuries after a crash on Interstate 15 at mile marker 3, just 10 miles south of Malad at 11:30 a.m. Monday.

ISP reports Darrell Oler of Blackfoot was driving southbound in a 2011 Ford F350 pickup, and Kent Halford, 54, of Idaho Falls, was also driving southbound in a 2017 International semi-truck pulling three trailers.

Officers said Oler struck the rear trailer, drove off the right shoulder, down an embankment, across the off-ramp and across Woodruff road where the vehicle rolled.

He was ejected from the vehicle and succumbed to his injuries.

ISP reports Oler was not wearing a seatbelt, and Halford was wearing a seatbelt.
