Deadly Motorcycle Crash in Idaho Falls

A motorcycle crash in Idaho Falls Sunday night has claimed the life of a 22 year old man. The accident happened at about 10:40 p.m. at the intersection of Skyline and Broadway.

Witnesses say that the driver of the motorcycle was traveling North on Skyline at about 60-70 miles per hour when he crashed into a small pick up truck that was turning East onto Broadway.

When Idaho Falls police arrived on the scene the man was not breathing. Police and EMT’s attempted to revive him but he never regained consciousness. The man driving the truck was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Police say the driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet.

The streets were blocked both directions for about 3 hours while the accident was being investigated. The next of kin were notified and some of them arrived at the scene. The investigation into the accident is continuing. No citations have been issued.
