Jenny Lake construction project enters final year

A $19 million improvement project at Jenny Lake is entering its fifth and final construction season at Grand Teton National Park.

The work will enhance the South Jenny Lake developed area and the west shore of the park’s most-visited destination.

The project includes newly reconstructed trails, a new paved path leading from the visitor center to the lake shore, new viewpoints, benches, and interpretive exhibits.

While shuttle boat and scenic cruises will be open, portable toilets will be made available while the area’s restrooms are renovated. The visitor center will continue to operate in a temporary facility.

The Jenny Lake Renewal Project is a public-private partnership between the National Park Service and Grand Teton National Park Foundation. The foundation has contributed $14 million and the National Park Service has contributed $5 million.
