Police investigating woman’s death inside Pocatello home

Pocatello police officers are investigating after finding a woman dead inside a Pocatello home just before 9 p.m. Monday night.

At 8:52 p.m., police responded to 522 N. 8th for a welfare check.

That’s where they found the woman who was unresponsive and appeared to have suffered trauma to her body.

Officers arrested Rodney Pahneeno 61, who was also at the home when they arrived, and charged him with Voluntary Manslaughter.

He is being held in the Bannock County jail, and police say there is no further threat to the community.

The woman’s identity and relationship to Pahneeno has not been released.
