One person killed and two children hurt in I-15 crash

A Pocatello woman was killed and two juvenile passengers injured in a one car crash on southbound Interstate 15 near Malad.

Peggy L. Pratt, 67, was driving a 2004 Honda Pilot northbound on I-15 at around 11:03 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle veered off the left shoulder of the road near milepost 10. Idaho State Police said she apparently overcorrected and veered off the right shoulder into an embankment. The car overcorrected again and rolled throiugh the median before coming to rest on its side in the southbound lanes.

Pratt was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The two juveniles were taken by ground ambulance to the Oneida County Hospital. None of them were wearing seatbelts.

The southbound lanes of the interstate were blocked for about two and a half hours.
