Frost Advisory for Tonight and Tuesday Morning

With a cold front moving through the region and a clearing sky, we’ll see cold overnight lows back into the mid to lower 30’s. With this cold overnight air, the National Weather Service has issued Frost Advisories for our area. A Frost Advisory means that widespread frost is expected and sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

Frost Advisory for the Snake River Plain: Frost conditions will develop late tonight and continue through mid-morning Tuesday. Sensitive outdoor plants and vegetation could be damaged or killed if left unprotected. 32° to 36° for overnight early morning lows are expected for Tuesday morning.

Frost Advisory for Lemhi County/Central Idaho: The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a Frost Advisory…which is in effect from 2 AM MDT /1 AM PDT/ to 9 AM MDT /8 AM PDT/ Tuesday. The combination of clear calm conditions overnight and an unseasonably cold airmass will create an environment favorable for frost. Frost will begin to form by 4am with temperatures starting to warm shortly after sunrise. Temperatures: 30° to 35°, Locations impacted include: Camas Prairie, Grangeville and vicinity, Gibbonsville, Salmon and Leadore.
