IHRSA Finals Performances kick off Monday

For the 23rd consecutive year, the Bannock County Event Center is playing host for the Idaho State High School Rodeo Finals.

First day for performances kicked off at 7:00 on Monday night.

The greatest show on dirt kicked off the event with bareback riding. Three cowboys participated on the first day, with only Bruin Bradshaw not getting bucked off before 8 seconds and earned a score of 75.

The next event was Pole Bending, average times for the girls were anywhere from 20 to 25 seconds.

In steer wrestling, it was Cooper Bradshaw from Rockland with a time of 7.79 wrestling down the steer coming out with the fastest time.

In the goat tying category, it was Macey Fillmore making quick work of the goat taking it down and tying it to a time of 7.66.

Mylee Mickelsen was a close second with a time of 7.83.

In saddle bronc riding, all but one cowboy, were bucked off by the bucking broncos. Russell Kay from South Fremont was the only one who stayed on and qualified for 8 seconds to get a score of 62.

In the bull riding category, none of the bull riders could last 8 seconds, all were bucked off.
