D91 school board approves $99.5 million bond resolution

The Idaho Falls School District 91 school board unanimously voted tonight to go through with a new $99.5 million bond resolution to redesign the district’s high schools. The new bond proposal comes after one failed in November.

This new bond is a two tiered bond. Voters can decide on the first tier which is $86.2 million. It would renovate Skyline High School, build a new Idaho Falls High School and turn the current Idaho Falls High School into a career technical school. The second tier is $13.3 million and consists of amenities such as a district performing arts center and innovative space at the potential new high school.

The vote on the bond will take place on August 28th.
