Ammon to recognize community service

Ammon Mayor Sean Coletti will recognize Community Service Awards to four citizens during a reception at the city building tonight.

Andy Weller, a Hillview Elementary teacher, will be presented with the Citizen of the Year award for his positive impact on Ammon students. Coletti said Weller has also worked on McCowin Park and other community enhancement events.

Community Service Awards will also be presented to Brett and Shelly Yorgesen, who assist in the “Operation Christmas Magic” program, Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Kevin Casper, and LaTisha Wammack for her service to community youth.

The reception is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Ammon City Building at 2135 S. Ammon Road.
