Flood Warnings for Snake River

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Flood Warning for the Snake River.

Above Eagle Rock near Idaho Falls affecting Bonneville County:Recent heavy rainfall resulted in increased flows on the Snake River above Eagle rock near Idaho Falls and increased releases upstream at Palisades Reservoir. The river will reach flood stage of 13.2 feet by 6 am MDT Wednesday morning.

cancelled.

* At 12:15 PM Tuesday the stage was 12.7 feet.

* Flood Stage is 13.2 feet.

* Minor Flooding is forecast.

* Impact…At 13.2 feet…or 23393 cfs…Fields and low-lying areas

near the river from the Roberts area downstream to near Idaho Falls

will have minor flooding or seep/ponding of water. Walker boat

launch and park will be flooded.

Snake River at Blackfoot affecting Bingham County

Recent heavy rainfall resulted in increasing flows on the Snake

River at Blackfoot and increased flows upstream as well. The Snake

River at Blackfoot is expected to reach minor flood stage late

Wednesday afternoon. Minor low land flooding is likely.

* from Wednesday evening to late Friday night…Or until the Warning

is cancelled.

* At 10:15 AM Tuesday the stage was 9.4 feet.

* Flood Stage is 10.5 feet.

* Minor Flooding is forecast.

* Impact…At 10.5 feet…or 20781 cfs…Minor lowland flooding will

occur along sections of the river from Rose to Blackfoot and

downstream from Blackfoot. Water may seep into Jensens Grove.

Snake River near Menan

Minor Flooding is occurring, with River levels forecast to fall.

The Flood Warning continues for

The Snake River near Menan.

* At 9:30 AM Tuesday the stage was 8.9 feet.

* Flood Stage is 8.5 feet.

* Impact…At 8.5 feet…or 21584 cfs…Fields and low-lying areas

near the river between the confluence of the Snake River and Henrys

Fork downstream to the Roberts area will have minor flooding or

seep/ponding of water. Menan Buttes boat launch will be flooded.
