Man arrested after Rexburg disturbance
A 20-year-old Rexburg man was arrested at around 6:20 p.m. Monday after a disturbance at his apartment in the 500 block of Countryside Avenue.
According to police, Aaron Michael Beck called authorities to turn himself in. They found him threatening to jump from the second floor of the building. He eventually agreed to back away and meet officers inside.
Earlier, police took multiple reports from neighbors about a man hitting cars with a shovel. He was also suspected of breaking a window in the building.
Beck was initially arrested for misdemeanor assault and malicious injury to property.
