Steamboat Geyser erupts tenth time in 2018

The Steamboat Geyser in Yellowstone National Park erupted for the tenth time in 2018 on Friday.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the geyser erupted at 4:55 p.m. and it lasted 37 minutes.

USGS said the geyser has decided to follow a semi-regular pattern of erupting every 6-8 days over the past two months.

Prior to Friday’s eruption, the most recent activity was on June 11.
