Power outage in Island Park area

UPDATE 6:15 p.m.: Power has been restored in the northern portion of Island Park, but there are still smaller outages in the Ashton, Chester and Tetonia areas.

About 51 customers are affected.

If you are in Island Park and are still without power, officials ask you call 800-632-5726.

Officials said winds appear to be the primary cause of today’s outages.

Fall River Electric customers are currently experiencing an outage in the Aspen Ridge Subdivision in Island Park.

Officials said they have received reports of trees on the line and possible downed power lines as a result of high winds.

A crew is on the way to assess the damages and make any necessary repairs.

Officials say to expect the outage to last approximately four hours.
