Second suspect arrested in connection to his own stabbing
A second man is behind bars in connection to his own stabbing earlier this month.
Idaho Falls police announced Thursday morning John Daniel Whalen, 54, of Idaho Falls was arrested on Tuesday on charges of misdemeanor battery.
On June 5th, witnesses saw a verbal altercation happen between three men on the 500 block of North Fanning Avenue.
Police said that’s when Whalen was stabbed and the two men took off.
Devon Grant Arias, 18, of Idaho Falls was one of the two men arrested later that night on charges of aggravated battery.
After investigating, police discovered Whalen hit the other men repeatedly before he was stabbed.
