Tornado on the ground just outside of Darlington

A tornado was reported on the ground just outside of Darlington, Idaho near the Butte and Custer County line Thursday afternoon. It was first spotted over King Mountain just after 1 p.m.

The Butte County Emergency Manager Reports, county 9-1-1 received 3 reports of a funnel cloud in the vicinity of Darlington not far from the county line around 1:15 p.m.
A thunderstorm warning was then issued, but there was never a tornado warning because the terrain is so rough the radar can’t differentiate what is in that area.

There has been one report of damage. A screen door was blown off its hinges.

This video was captured by Taylor Jade.
