Law Enforcement tase and arrest man

Micah Lynn Ellis was arrested on an active warrant, along with charges of resisting or obstructing officers and providing false information to police Thursday, according to the Idaho Falls Police.

Idaho Falls Police and Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a report of a suspicious man at the Gas and Grub on the corner of North Woodruff Avenue and East Lincoln Road around 11:30 p.m.

When law enforcement questioned Ellis, he gave a fake name.

Law enforcement later found out that Ellis lied and verified he had an active warrant.

Ellis told law enforcement that he wasn’t going to jail, locked his vehicle’s doors and started his car.

Law enforcement asked Ellis to stop and get out of the car, but he didn’t listen.

A Bonneville County Deputy was in front of Ellis car when Ellis attempted to put it in gear.

A police officer Tased Ellis to prevent him from running over the deputy and Ellis was arrested.
