Deseret Industries Grand Opening

The new Deseret Industries store in Ammon held it’s grand opening Thursday.

There was music, giveaways, balloon artist and free tote bags to the first 500 shoppers.

At 9:30 a.m. was the official ribbon cutting with Ammon Mayor Coletti, Chamber officials and Deseret Industries executives

At 10 a.m. hundreds of customers, went to the store to be one of the first 500 people to get free tote bags. People even started lining up at 4 a.m. this morning, in excitement for the grand opening.

“Some people are here to find specific pieces I met a DIY’er whose wanting to redo some end tables and some different things, she says this is the best place to go,” said Deseret Industries Marketing Manager Brooke Yates. “I also talked to someone who had no idea what she wanted to find but she says she always finds treasures and comes in and see’s what she can find.”

Today was only the first day of the three day grand opening. They will continue to have music, giveaways, and free tote bags to the first 500 people.

Deseret Industries store is located at 2885 E 17th St, Ammon.
