Old School vs New School

Next month voters in Idaho Falls School District 91 will be asked if they want to approve an $86,000,000 bond to build a new high school and renovate Skyline High School. Opponents say it’s not needed — remodeling Idaho Falls High School is the answer. Supporters say a modern high school is needed to better give students what they need to succeed.

Thursday on Local News 8 at 10, Jay Hildebrandt examines the issue, and tours Idaho Falls and Skyline High Schools to see first hand the concerns of teachers, and looks into the bond’s impact on taxpayers. He also looks at the most modern high school in the area the brand new Thunder Ridge High School in District 93 to see how it’s different from the older schools.
