Missing Jackson man found dead
A 63-year-old missing motorist from Jackson, Wyo. was found dead Thursday at 5:50 p.m off the road of SH31.
Idaho State Police disclosed Friday that Air Idaho discovered Sam Collins’ body and his motorcycle Thursday evening.
ISP officials determined that on July 9, 2018, at approximately 5:20 p.m., Collins was traveling northbound on SH31 at milepost 11 near Victor on a 2017 KTM motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve, went off the right shoulder and overturned.
Collins succumbed to his injuries at the time of the crash.
Collins was wearing a helmet and riding gear.
ISP reports next of kin has been notified.
Idaho State Police was assisted by Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Teton County Sheriff’s Office in Jackson, Wyoming and Air Idaho.
